Facebook To Fund Computer Science PhD Students
High tech companies and the academic world have a bit of a symbiotic relationship. Many companies follow academic research carefully, and use ideas and developments from university research for Sony-VGP-BPS2A. The academic community, in turn, often studies the behavior of networks and individuals using data obtained from the commercial world.
In any case, it looks like Facebook has decided to take the relationship one step further: it’s offering fellowships to students pursuing PhD-level research in computer science of A1175 battery,Apple A1079. AMD also displayed a desktop running on the next-generation Leo platform. The platform, which is based on processors with up to six cores, will include new integrated graphics and a chipset.
Although it’s possible for computer science grad students to make it through a degree program without external fellowships, obtaining one provides a degree of flexibility (and, often, better pay for Dell C1295 battery). Facebook’s version will come with a $30,000 stipend for nine months, and kick in $5,000 each for travel to meetings and hardware.
If GM can hit a low enough price to deliver a vehicle under $30,000, with the $7,500 federal tax credit, that could be very important — for the psychological significance with consumers if nothing else for VGP-BPS2A battery .? Mr. Lauckner comment also reflects upon GM’s shift in production plans — originally GM planned to launch the Volt in Fall 2010.? Now it plans to begin a limited rollout towards the end of the summer, barring delays.?
The only strings seem to be that the research focus needs to be directly applicable to Facebook for Apple A1175 battery. Part of that is obvious from the list of topics: cloud computing, data mining, search algorithms, etc. But the application instructions leave little doubt about the company’s interest in relevant work: applicants are asked for a research summary that “clearly identifies the area of focus and applicability to Facebook.”(source:battery news)
